It gives me comfort to know that Brad Pitt has pockmarks too.
In the past I had them so bad that I would swear some of the holes went straight through to China.
I remember being on a trip with a boyfriend years ago. (OK, it was like 20 years ago.) We were in a hotel room located somewhere in the lower 48. I was putting on makeup. He told me to "fill in those holes."
He was joking. I was humiliated.
Going through life embarrassed of your face sucks.
That was the last straw for me. I went through years of chemical peels after that.
The chemical peels did a lot of good. They did the following for my face:
- Got rid of freckles. Everyone over 15 hates those.
- Gave me an even skin tone. No one likes red blotches.
- Reduced my craters (pockmarks). But not as much as I would have liked.
The countless dollars spent at the dermatologist taught me a few things. I'll call it tuition. I determined "I could do this myself if I had the access to the right products."
The disclosure here is that I'm not a doctor. This is probably controversial. But I'm going to share my learnings anyhow.
I'll digress a little bit.
My dermatologist introduced me to Glytone products about 17 years ago. You could only get them through a doctor at the time.
But now, lucky us, we can get them through the remarkable invention of the internet! :o)
Glytone products are awesome. I have been using them at home for probably over 20 years.
In my early 20's, I couldn't leave home without makeup on my face. I'm now 45-ish and I rarely put on make up. How's that for a testimonial?
I feel like my face is in the best shape of my life. Other than before puberty, of course.
But lets get back to getting rid of pock marks. Now I have depressions. These depressions are on their way out.
It is a gradual thing that takes time. They didn't get their overnight. They won't go away over night. Even if you employ a dermatologist.
Glytone products have glycolic acid in them. This is an acid that eats away at the top layer of skin.
My dermatologist taught me that when the the skin is removed, the skin grows back smother and less, shall we say, bumpy.
I started doing this recently. And I'm very happy with the results. Hopefully you will too. I put on Glytone facial cream. I wait 5 minutes. Then I rub my face with my finger tips to get off the top layer of skin.
You will feel it. The top layer of skin coming off. This is not a bad thing. This is a good thing. You want to get rid of that old skin. You want new skin to form. Skin that is smoother, less blotchy. Younger.
If you do this over a period of a couple of months, you will see that your pockmarks are smoother. Less noticeable. How cool is that?
The "step up" system ensures you will get a good "peel." The lowest step is 10 percent. You can move up from there.
After using the 10% cream, you can order the 15% and then 20%. You can move up as needed. The 30% is for exfoliating the elbows and feet.
There will be a tingling effect if you buy the right product. It shouldn't hurt.
What is truly awesome is that you don't need a prescription or a trip to the doctors office any longer.
Give it a try today. You will be happy you did!
